Group learning is a major service of idealORDER and the examples are many.
1. CORPORTATE SETTING
Organizing Challenges:
An open space format and employees’ cluttered workspaces were inconsistent with the impression that corporate managers wanted to leave their clients
Corporate managers were concerned that employees were not planning their days as effectively as possible.
How idealORDER helped:
The good news in this scenario is that this corporation, (a highly successful company within the Fortune 500) had long ago committed to ongoing employee development and invests a significant amount of its profits into learning opportunities for its team members. idealORDER visited each of the eight offices across the country and presented a luncheon seminar at each site focused on organizing principles and strategies. The seminars employed interactive activities that allowed employees to examine individual errors that were preventing them from being as organized as possible and also guided them to pinpoint things that they were doing well. Following the luncheon seminar, the idealORDER representative was available to each employee upon request to provide input regarding the employee’s individual space. Also as a component of the contract, the idealORDER representative was available via e-mail to consult on any particular organizing aspect at a later point in time. Feedback from participants was very favorable, and many commented that it was information that they would definitely use.
2. TRADE ASSOCIATION SETTING
Organizing Challenges:
Finding innovative presentation topics to attract members to its monthly meetings
How idealORDER helped:
We presented a luncheon seminar entitled “Secrets to Organized Productivity” which resulted in the most highly attended meeting of the year and winner of the “Best Program for 2007” award. As a result of feedback from participants who attended the luncheon seminar, the association decided to embark on a new day-long learning format for its members. idealORDER provided the program for its premier day-long seminar with four mini-seminars focused on general organizing tips, time management, e-mail essentials, and paper management..
